Unseen

Between the one arm distance your mind has enforced on you and the very evident disinterestedness in your gaze I walk the pithy line to insecurity. Every step I consciously take is farther away from you and though it seems to hurt I know this is the only right thing to do. The tiny gestures and smiles all go unseen. In the corner of your bland room that smells of chocolates and perfume I will sleep till you disappear completely from my miserable life. All I can say is, “Thank you for helping me live for one more year.”
